Editorial Policy & Standards

At dontbeac.app, our mission is to deliver objective, technically rigorous, and reproducible analysis of frontier artificial intelligence systems, developer tooling, and production architectures. We believe engineers and researchers deserve verifiable facts over marketing hyperbole.

1. Primary Source Grounding

We strictly ground our reporting in authoritative primary documents: official API specifications, peer-reviewed technical papers (arXiv, NeurIPS, ICML), public model cards from frontier labs (Anthropic, OpenAI, Google DeepMind), and reproducible code executions. We do not publish unverified gossip, speculative leaks, or third-party clickbait.

2. Objective Benchmark & Testing Methodology

When we evaluate software, coding assistants, or AI models:

  • Methodology Transparency: Every evaluation explicitly defines system prompts, environment parameters, hardware/compute configurations, and tool integrations.
  • Honest Limitations: If a test scenario cannot be executed directly due to compute or private API constraints, we clearly document that limitation rather than inventing speculative performance scores.
  • Repeatability: We prioritize tasks and code patterns that software developers can clone and execute in their own local repositories or cloud environments.

3. AI Assistance & Authorship Transparency

As a publication covering frontier AI, we transparently use AI tooling (such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, and LLM linters) for grammar proofreading, code snippet drafting, formatting, and test script generation.

However, every published guide, benchmark comparison, and news article is human-audited, verified, and edited by our lead technical engineer, Aditya Jaiswal. We do not publish automated, unreviewed mass-generated content designed to game search algorithms.

4. Editorial Independence & Commercial Separation

Our editorial evaluations are 100% independent of commercial affiliations:

  • We do not accept payment, free credits, or undisclosed incentives in exchange for favorable reviews or higher rankings in our comparisons.
  • Sponsored content or affiliate partnerships, where present, are conspicuously labeled in accordance with FTC guidelines and our Advertising & Affiliate Disclosures.
  • AdSense and display advertising units are visually and structurally segregated from editorial content to prevent accidental or deceptive clicks.

5. Regular Content Audits & Maintenance

Frontier AI moves quickly. Models evolve, API pricing changes, and tools deprecate features. Our editorial team conducts ongoing monthly reviews of published material. Deprecated guides are updated with modern context or marked with an explanatory notice to prevent developer confusion.

6. Errata and Corrections

If a factual error is discovered, we correct it promptly and transparently in accordance with our Corrections & Errata Policy. Inquiries and corrections may be submitted directly to contact@dontbeac.app.
